Does anyone know how to open the Top Panel of Y720 Tower. I am looking to fix a fan on the top but dont know how to remove the plastic top frame. One of the promo videos says use a tool on the buttons on the top inside. But dont know which ones. I saw vidoes on how to open the front panel, side pane, removing PSU etc. but the top panel, where we have the power button is also detachable from the case is what I understand. Kindly help.

I have, under my care, an X260 laptop which has sustained damage to a coer of its casing. It does not appear to have affected the operability of the laptop. I submitted a ticket to get it repaired under the warranty but it comes back as a Depot repair. I have a hard time separating the employee from the laptop, especially for an indeterminate amount of time. Is not the bottom case just a shell? Can I contact someone to just get the part sent? I feel confident I can do a bottom case myself.

I got this computer about a month ago. When I used the keyboard hotkeys to tu the mic, touchpad, camera on/off an indicator pops up on the screen to show if the device is on or off. Since last week this stopped occuring. The button still tus off the devices but it doesn't show me what state the device is in anymore. Anyone else seen this? Did Lenovo or Windows update break something?

yoga 2 pro touchpad does not exist in the device manager list?? it did exist, not it has gine? I was trying to upgrade the device driver - same problem as a lot of others with intermittent toichpad operation.

So now, I look at the device driver list ans there is no touchpad device. I tried to search for hardware changes, but still no touchpad.

I plugged in a usb mouse and that gets recognised. but still touchpad.

any suggestions?

The laptop is stuck to the thinkpad splash screen and not able to even go in the bios. 

I had to remove the original 2 x 4G (samsung 2Rx8 PC3-12800s-11-10-f2) and put in a spare 2G ddr3 that i have and the laptop boot fine. Both USB port, sd card and DVD work great but with only 2G of ram.

I tested the 2 x 4G ddr3 into another laptop (dell latitude) and the ram is working fine.

I've updated the bios to 2.74 and the same thing happen.

When i go into the bios, load setup default and change in Startup UEFI Only then i can see the 8G of ram into the bios but i'm unabke to boot the hard drive. I get this error: 2100: Detection error on HDD0 (Main HDD)

Any help would be appreciated.

I found error message "We couldn't find any drives. To get a storage driver, click Load driver" and myHDD is hidden.
I need a "download link" for this driver if it is available. My hard disk information in bios is (WDC WD10JPCX-24UE4T0)

I got a problem with the enhanced keyboard of my Helix.
Some time ago, I discovered that it can't see my power supply but both batterys are working fine. It's not à PSU problem as my helix see it just fine.
Where it become annoying is that I can't upgrade the firmware of my keyboard as the updater say I need to plug the PSU.
I already tested with another PSU and even reseted the keyboard with no luck.
